What is an ARE Scholarship?
Beginning in 2026, AIA Inland California and the EPIC Committee are proud to offer the ARE Scholarship Program, designed to help reduce financial barriers for emerging professionals pursuing architectural licensure.
The scholarship provides reimbursement of one Architect Registration Examination (ARE) division exam fee (currently $257) and up to $40 toward approved study materials. By helping offset these costs, the program supports emerging professionals as they advance toward becoming licensed architects.
Up to ten scholarships will be awarded annually on a first-come, first-served basis to eligible applicants who meet the following requirements:
Applicants must:
Be a current AIA Inland California member in good standing
Be eligible for and actively pursuing architectural licensure through the ARE process
Provide proof of exam registration or completion (pass or fail) to receive reimbursement
Submit a completed scholarship application
Funding is limited and will be awarded until all available scholarships have been distributed.
